R’ Meir Schuster’s Heritage House is an organization that gives young Jews the opportunity to connect to their Jewish heritage.
The weekends are subsidized so that every person can experience an authentic Shabbat without needing to worry about the expense.
The weekend includes accommodation, meals, and amenities.
The Heritage House has separate dorms for men and women.
The men’s dorm sleeps up to 13 men, with 2 toilets and 2 showers.
The women’s dorm sleeps up to 10 women with 3 toilets and 3 showers.
There is also an event space with place to eat and relax, as well as an outdoor courtyard.
A Friday night meal, Saturday breakfast, lunch meal, and a light Saturday afternoon meal.
There is tea, coffee and milk provided.

At Heritage House, all young Jews between 18-35 years old are welcome. For each Shabbat weekend we try to match up the participants to be of similar ages.
Heritage House's women's hostel is situated in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem at Ha-Mal'akh St 7. And the men's hostel is aא Ha-Bikurim St 14.
If coming from outside Jerusalem, take the bus/train to the Central Bus Station of JLM.
Then EITHER:
catch the train from the Central Bus Station to the City Hall train stop.
Follow the downhill path, by foot, towards Jaffa Gate and into the Old City.
OR:
Catch an intercity bus #1 or #3 that will take you to the Western Wall.
Then climb the stairs, away from the Wall and into the Old City.
The Heritage House has a madrich and madricha on staff, whose details will be provided, that you can contact if you need help locating the hostel.
Our Shabbaton takes place in the Old City, where modest and respectful dress is part of the environment.
We ask that participants come dressed accordingly — skirts or dresses with sleeves for women, and long pants and shirts for men. Bear in mind that in the winter months, especially in the evenings, Jerusalem gets very cold.
Yes, we have live-in madrichim and madrichot who will greet, guide, and spend time with you through the weekend.
We may also have a visiting couple who will join us for the weekend as part of the staff members.

4:00 PM Heritage House opens

10:00 PM Chill with snacks and drinks
Saturday:
10:00 AM Old City tour
12:00 PM Lunch with different hosting families
4:15 PM Chill and light refreshments
6:30 PM Shabbat end with Havdalah
7:30 PM Kever Dovid experience with music and refreshments
